NGN - Next Generation Network

Bynet's Voice and Multimedia solutions for the Telecom market

For the last twenty years, Bynet has been involved in voice and TDM solutions for the telecom market.
As with the technology, this market is evolving in a fast pace, needing for new converged solutions - starting with TDM backhaul, through VoIP trunking, incumbent and competitive local voice switching and ending with Fixed-Mobile convergence based on IMS.

Following are some solutions and solution/product partners featured by Bynet.

Next Gen Networks

Bynet offers full end-to-end NGN solutions for the ILEC, CLEC, MSO and ITSP vertical markets. Although these solutions can be built of separate vendors' building blocks (best-of-breed), there are many advantages to a one-stop-shop solution - offered by experienced integrating VAR and integrator.

Bynet offers turn-key converged solutions for the large carriers (over 100,000 subscribers) and for medium carriers (approximately 50,000 subscribers). Although the two vertical markets differ, both solution concepts rely on Build-as-you-grow methodology, i.e. a service provider may purchase a small solution offer for a small capacity of subscribers and grow in time to a full deployed system.

Of-course, the following system solutions can be broken down to their components if only one a component or set of elements to be deployed separately, and (interoperability dependant) can be mixed in different vendors' architectures.

Cisco systems service providers' portal
With an industry-leading portfolio of packet voice and voice-over-IP (VoIP) products, Cisco offers solutions for both service providers and enterprise businesses.
More importantly, Cisco is the only company working to seamlessly tie service provider and enterprise networks together, supporting both voice and data, through the deployment of true end-to-end packet networks.
Cisco's commitment to voice is apparent-more than half of Cisco product lines support packet voice communications.
For service providers, Cisco's mission is clear: to increase service provider profits and revenue and to lower their costs through the use of next-generation networks that support voice, video, and data. Cisco voice solutions enable service providers to shift traditional voice services onto a packet infrastructure and to create new services that combine voice, video, and data information. The benefits of this shift are dramatic. A common packet network allows carriers to quickly, easily, and inexpensively create profitable services that add value for end customers.

The Cisco solution is comprised of the BTS10200 softswitch, accompanied by the full range of Cisco's switch/router/gateways - starting with the 1800/2800/3800 routers, through the cable uBRs and AS5000 universal gateways ending with MGX gateways and GSR switches.

Session Border Controller

A crucial element of a packet based network is a session border controller, which we'll find in at every interconnection locations- either at interconnect between peering VoIP carrier networks or between carrier's core service network and it's subscribers.
Bynet offers several solutions for mid-to-high capacity networks and requirements:

Acme Packet
Acme Packet Net-Net is a family of session border controllers for service providers who must deliver peak performance for interactive communications across IP networks. Session Aware Networking is our product architecture that tightly integrates session routing and media control for enabling high quality, money-making, voice, video and multimedia communications.
The family includes two compact (1U), high performance, carrier-class appliances. The patents-pending Net-Net products are carrier-class in all respects - performance, reliability, redundancy, packaging, management, accounting and scalability -- and are 100% complementary to a service provider's existing equipment infrastructure.

The Acme Packet Session Director is a high volume session border controller, deployed in most of the Tier1 carriers.

Tekelec
The Tekelec 6000 Session Border Controller (formerly called the VOISS Proxy Firewall or VocalData Session Border Controller) serves two primary purposes:
It provides normal firewall functions for the Tekelec 6000 components on the service provider's private LAN.
It provides firewall traversal for IP phones and IAD (integrated access device for connecting analog devices to IP) devices located behind a business or residential customer's existing firewall so their devices can function with the Tekelec 6000 without any modification to the customer's NAT (network address translation) firewall or PAT (port address translation) firewall.
Outstanding features of the T6000 SBC are: Multi-Protocol Support, Short-Circuiting / Customer Premise Call Routing, Deployment Simplicity, Reliability, Access Lists, and Denial of Service Attack (DOS) Prevention
